New Applicants desiring On Campus Housing:


Preference for University Housing will be given to incoming freshman, full-time students and those students who live outside the Savannah metro area of Chatham, Bryan and Effingham counties. Other than these categories, Students who apply for on campus housing will be assigned on a first come, first served basis that will be determined by the date their Housing application is received by the Department of Housing and Residence Life.

Wait List Process Fall 2009


The Office of Housing and Residence Life reserved spaces for the incoming AASU freshman class. All the freshman spaces were claimed as of June 12. As of this date we have begun the wait list process for freshman. All students who have not completed applications for Housing yet may apply to be on the wait list.

There is no guarantee that being on a wait list will ultimately result in an room assignment; however Housing will work through classes starting on August 17th to assign all students into spaces that become available. Wait list room offers will be made via phone call and/or email. You only have 24 hours to accept an offer from the time it is sent, so please review your messages and/or email frequently. Freshman students will have the first priority on all waitlist spaces.

Students placed on the wait list students must pay the 250.00 application fee. The application fee will not be deposited unless we are able to provide an housing assignment. Names of residents who accept a space are removed from the wait list. Residents who refuse an offered space or fail to respond within 24 hours after notification will have their name removed from the wait list.

In extreme cases, the Office of Housing and Residence Life reserves the right to make an administrative room change into a vacant space, independent of the wait list, when it deems such a change necessary.
