Fall 2008 Housing Wait list Process

The Office of Housing and Residence Life has assigned rooms to all returning Housing residents who submitted renewal applications and new and transfer students' applications received by June 30, 2008. All the spaces have been claimed; therefore Housing began the wait list process for all students.

Students who have not applied to Housing may apply online and be placed on the wait list. Applications are available at http://housing.armstrong.edu/apply.html. Applications received will be placed on the wait list on a first-come, first-serve basis. Note: Only complete applications will be added to the waiting list. Complete applications are applications that are filled out entirely and submitted with the $250 Application Fee.

Students placed on the wait list will be able to find out their status by calling or e-mailing Housing and Residence Life at (912) 344-2940 or housing@armstrong.edu. There is no guarantee that being on a wait list will ultimately result a housing assignment. If a room becomes available, Housing will call the student at the top of the wait list. Once called, the student has 24 hours to accept an offer from the time it is sent, so please review your messages and/or email frequently.

Names of residents who accept a new space are removed from the wait list. Residents who refuse an offered space or fail to respond within 24 hours after notification will have their name removed from the wait list. Note: There are not separate wait lists per community or for freshman, transfer and returning students. There is one master wait list. It is to your advantage to claim any spot offered. If you are not satisfied with your assignment, room change requests may be submitted by filling out a Room Change Request form on September 1, 2008 in the Main Housing Office. However, Housing cannot guarantee all room change requests.

Students who are on the wait list and would like to remove their name from the wait list must complete and submit a Housing Cancellation Form. To request a Housing Cancellation Form, please call or e-mail Housing & Residence Life at (912) 344-2940 or housing@armstrong.edu. Once Housing receives the completed Housing Cancellation Form, Housing will refund the $250 application fee to the student.
